There’s something about The Barn PNW that sets the tone for a truly unforgettable wedding day—nestled among towering trees with wide open skies and charming rustic touches. Maddie & Joe’s wedding was no exception. From the emotional first look to a bubble-filled send-off, every moment of their day was packed with warmth, laughter, and love.
When I arrived, Maddie was upstairs with her bridesmaids, putting together the final touches of her look. She stepped into her stunning gown, and once everything was in place, she headed downstairs for a special reveal moment with her bridesmaids, who were waiting eagerly to see her. Their reactions said it all—pure joy and excitement for what was ahead.
Meanwhile, we brought Joe out to a quiet grove of trees for their first look. Maddie walked up behind him, and as he turned around to see her for the first time, they shared a moment just for the two of them. After soaking it all in, they exchanged private vows surrounded by the peaceful stillness of the trees. It was intimate, genuine, and so reflective of their connection.
We captured couple portraits beneath the trees, with soft light filtering through the branches—some of my favorite shots of the day. Then it was time to gather with the rest of the wedding party and family for group photos in front of the barn, a classic backdrop that paired perfectly with the rustic elegance of their day.
The ceremony site was a bit of a walk, so guests were treated to a scenic wagon ride down a winding path, where they arrived at a serene forest overlook. The natural setting created a magical feel as Maddie and Joe finally said “I do” under bright sunny skies, with the trees towering in the background.
After the ceremony, we took advantage of the new scenery for a few more portraits before everyone was shuttled back to the barn for cocktail hour. While guests mingled, Maddie and Joe signed their marriage license, making everything officially official.
Dinner was held inside the barn, with heartfelt toasts, cake cutting, and a first dance that set the tone for a high-energy night. Just before the sun dipped below the trees, we snuck away for some stunning sunset portraits, capturing those soft, golden hues that you only get once a day.
The dance floor was full all night, with guests bringing their best moves and celebrating nonstop. As the evening came to a close, Maddie and Joe shared a private last dance in the barn while guests gathered outside, lining up for the grand finale.
With bubbles floating around them, Joe scooped Maddie up and carried her toward their getaway car, ending the night in the most cinematic way possible.
It was a beautiful, joy-filled celebration, and it was such an honor to document the story of these two sweet souls as they started their forever.
