Kennedy and Max’s wedding was at a private wedding in Canby, it was close to their home and the perfect location for a summer wedding! It was a perfect space for the tables, a dance floor and a ceremony site all in one. There was also a sweet little cabin for getting ready on the top of the hill that had a great view of the entire field!
I already knew Kennedy and Max because Kennedy and my husband, Avery, are actually cousins! It was so much fun being able to capture a family wedding. It’s truly such an honor any time I take photos for our family because I know how cherished the photos will be and how they’ll be passed down to future generations.
There were so many special details throughout their wedding day, like their first look moment, spending time reading their private vows, participating in communion during the ceremony and so many joyful emotions that took place!
We started off their wedding day with some getting ready and detail shoots. Kennedy also did a first look with her bridesmaids, dad and her brothers. Kennedy and Max had their first look before taking couple, family and wedding party portraits. After the ceremony, they did their first dance and there were toasts and lots of dancing! It was such a special day!
The photos from their wedding day were so romantic, joyful and excited with a bit of western to fit the theme of the wedding. Kennedy and Max were very easy to pose and prompt and we got some really beautiful photos to best capture their wedding.
I loved shooting this wedding so much because, not only are they family, but their officiant, Zack, also married me and my husband! There were so many close friends and family members that got to share and enjoy the day with us. And although I was working on their wedding day, it was still so rewarding to be behind the scenes with them and photograph all of their little moments!
