Jessie and Matt’s wedding took place at the Postlewaits in Canby. I’ve lived in Canby my entire life but this was my first time photographing a wedding at this venue and it was so beautiful! There was an amazing barn area that also included areas for getting ready or a reception space. The couple utilized the outdoor yard space for their ceremony and reception and it was perfect for their summer wedding! The ceremony site is so beautiful with a chandelier hanging from the trees and there was plenty of space for tables and a dance floor. 

The first time that I met Jessie and Matt was actually on their wedding day! We had scheduled a video chat prior to get to know each other and plan their photos and we knew straight away from that call that we would be a great fit to work together! 

And, coincidentally, one of their bridesmaids was a friend of mine from college!

Something unique that Jessie and Matt did was that their first look was actually when they saw each other at the end of the aisle which was so special and romantic as they had waited the whole day to see each other. 

When I had first arrived at the wedding, we started with the getting ready photos and Jessie did a first look with the bridesmaids, and then moved onto bridesmaids photos and portraits of Jessie. 

After the ceremony, we finished all of the family, wedding party and couple portraits. Then there was dinner and dancing and we took some more couple portraits during golden hour, before ending the night with the couples last dance. They were surrounded by all of the guests which was such a sweet way to end the night. 

During their wedding, we captured photos that were very fun, romantic and joyful. The whole day was full of laughs and smile and we got some especially dreamy romantic sunset photos in the vineyard which gave me Taylor Swift vibes! 

I loved shooting Jessie and Matts wedding because it was such a romantic summer evening and all of the guests were just so excited to be there and celebrate the couple.

Jessie and Matt were also very easygoing and carefree and really lived in the moment for their whole day and trusted me to capture the moments and ideas that I saw fit.
