Tiana and Nate’s wedding was at their church in Milwaukie. It was so special for them to begin their marriage in such a sacred place and it turned out to be so beautiful! With the rock walls and the colorful trees just outside the entrance, it made for a really pretty location.

I first met Tiana at Oregon State University as we were in the same sorority! I took her graduation photos and her brother’s senior photos. When she got engaged to Nate, I took their engagement photos and we chatted about details for their wedding day! The ceremony on their wedding day took place at their church, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and then their reception was at Abernethy Ballroom in Oregon City. 

They had a beautiful Catholic ceremony and then a traditional reception all in the same day! It was also my first time photographing a Catholic wedding but it was so much fun to be a part of as I grew up Catholic.

On their wedding day we first met up at the church where Tiana put her dress on and everyone finished getting ready for the ceremony. We took some family and wedding part photos separately as they didn’t see each other before the ceremony. Then Tiana and Nate did a first touch and prayer against the rock wall. 

After the ceremony, they rode over to the reception site in a limo and we took some more couple portraits. The reception began with dinner then there was dancing, toasts and cake!

We ended the night with a grand, glow stick exit!

The photos from their wedding day were very romantic and meaningful, warm and cozy. There were so many special details that I captured, both at the ceremony and the reception. From the prayers to the party it was all so beautiful!

I loved shooting this wedding because I truly got to know them as a couple and it was amazing to see how many people came on their wedding day to support and love them. They had the best positive attitude all day and put their trust in me and my second shooter to capture their love story through our work! It was such a perfect day I’ll never forget!
