Jack & Gillian’s wedding was at Pine Ridge Farm in Stewartstown, Pennsylvania. The property is so beautiful and there were so many great locations, perfect for each event of the day. I would love to go back and photograph more weddings there!

Gillian is actually my cousin and so I was thrilled to photograph their wedding day and make the trip over to Pennsylvania! Although we live in different states we’ve had lots of family get-togethers over the years to keep in touch and catch up with each other! Their wedding was on a beautiful fall day in the countryside of Pennsylvania. They had their ceremony at the top forest area and so us and the guests traveled up there in a tractor pulled covered wagon! It was such a unique and picturesque location within the orange leaves. The theme for their wedding was Jack & Gill went up the hill to get married, such a creative and fun play on words! Fun fact: They also had an ice cream truck at their reception which was a great treat!

The morning of their wedding day started with getting ready and dress detail photos. We used a mannequin to showcase the dress in the barn and up in the forest where the ceremony would be taking place. We then did a first look with Gillian and her dad where the tears started flowing! Then we did the first look with the bridesmaids on the front porch. After that, the ceremony took place- which was so beautiful and emotional, and we stayed in the forest for the formal portraits. Then we all took the tractor back down to the barn where the reception was being held. Gillian and Jack did their first dance, ate dinner, cut the cake, danced with the guests and celebrated -ending the night with a sparkler exit! 

All of Jack and Gillian’s photos were so full of emotion. Jack and Gillian waited until she walked down the aisle to see each other for the first time so the emotions were flooding, not only from them but from family and guests too! Due to living far away from each other we don’t see one another too often and so it was very special to capture their wedding and see how many people were there to celebrate the couple! They were also very easygoing and trusted me to get the dreamy photos for them throughout the entire day. 

I loved shooting this wedding because it was such a fun family event! I got to be behind the scenes capturing all of the detail and spending more time with the couple!
