Sierra & Jonathan’s wedding was at the Applegate Ranch in Grants Pass, Oregon. The venue was so beautiful and had such a sweet connection to the couple! Both Sierra and Jonathan met in college in Indiana but Jonathan moved back to Oregon and once Sierra fell in love with Oregon, she moved here too and ultimately they both decided to have their wedding in Oregon!
I first met Jonathan and Sierra last fall when I took their engagement photos. We had so much fun and instantly connected! It was so great to get to know them and just get comfortable with each other before their big day!
Their wedding day was so special because there were guests that traveled from all over to be with the couple! It was so sweet to see the family all together and there was just so much happiness!
It was also super exciting for me because it was my first time traveling to Grants Pass!
We planned out the timeline with 2 photographers to go through the whole day with ease. We ensured that there was lots of time before the ceremony for getting ready, to do the first look, couple portraits, the wedding party and family photos!
It was a super stress free day and we even had extra time before the guests arrived!
Throughout their wedding day we captured romantic, creative and very joyful photos! Between the family, wedding party and the couple portraits it was just such a happy day and you could see this in the photos! There were so many intimate moments between Sierra and Jonathan, for example during the first look and couple portraits, you could really see the connection in Jonathan and Sierra’s eyes.
I loved shooting this wedding because they truly treated me like a friend and guest instead of a wedding vendor! Everyone was so friendly and welcomed us into these special intimate moments. The venue was incredible and surrounded by beautiful nature – there were little butterflies fluttering around and even a giant turkey that flew over our heads during photos! And the not so amazing but definitely memorable, grass prickles that got stuck in Sierra’s dress!
