Jessica and MaGuire’s elopement was in the same location that I got to capture their couple photos last summer. It was a really meaningful, full circle moment. 🤍
I met Jessica in 4th grade and have known her ever since, we also lived in the same neighborhood as kids! Life after high school meant that we grew more distant but Jessica reached out to me last year to do a couples session with her and her boyfriend, MaGuire. That was the beginning of us reconnecting and I now got to capture their elopement.
Their elopement took place on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. It was just a small ceremony with a lovely dinner afterwards. It was a very intimate elopement, just Jessica, MaGuire, two bridesmaids, the officiant and me. I’m so grateful that I got to capture this really special, intimate elopement and to be a part of something so personal and secretive.
On the day of their wedding, we arrived at the park. We did the first look, took some detail photos and then started the ceremony. It was a very quick ceremony, all completed within an hour timeframe. That meant that after the ceremony we were able to do their couple portraits before signing their marriage license. Afterwards there was a celebratory dinner at Oswego Grill.
During their elopement I captured really fun and lively photos that captured the celebration of their elopement in a way that they can remember the day forever. We also got the chance to repeat some of their favorite poses from their couple session!
I absolutely loved shooting their wedding because they really prioritized and took the time to make sure that it was exactly what they wanted. It was very relaxed and there was no stress that came from guests watching or making sure they were entertained. There was no worry about rushing the portraits either. It really was their special day and it was so emotional. There were little imperfect details that just made it all that more perfect.
And Jessica and MaGuire sent me the sweetest review:
“I just wanted to say thank you again so much for capturing our special day yesterday! Even though it was all over the place and didn’t run as smoothly as I thought… it was still a blast”
