I’m so excited to be sharing Samantha & Jordan’s Abernethy winter wedding with you guys! It was such a beautiful celebration and I’m so grateful I got to capture it. Samantha and Jordan’s wedding took place at the Abernethy Chapel and the reception followed at the Abernethy Center in Oregon City. The ceremony was in the church and it was so special, they were surrounded by their loved ones, and then after we were able to take a golf cart to the ballroom and dance the night away!

I was lucky enough to have met Samantha and Jordan prior to their wedding as I took their engagement photos several months before their wedding and before we started connecting! They’ve always been so supportive of my business and were so sweet to work with! 

There were also so many special details that were fun to capture. We had groomsmen entrance photos as they were getting ready and then a funny first look with the best man instead of the bride. The bridal party entered the reception with Avengers music, we had breakfast for dinner and they had a glowstick exit to the getaway car!

All these fun, personal touches was what made the day so special and exciting to capture!

On the day, we first started with the photos of the groomsmen and bridesmaids getting ready and all the detail shots. We then had the first look with Mike, the best man who surprised Jordan in a wedding dress! After that we had the real first look with Samantha and Jordan. Before the ceremony we did the bridal party and family photos. After a little moment to themselves after the ceremony and whilst signing the marriage license, we went to the reception where there were all kinds of dances! They had a first dance, father and daughter dance, a mother son dance and a mother daughter dance. It was really special and quite emotional! Then there was an amazing dinner with toasts and dancing before the glow stick exit to the getaway car.

During Samantha and Jordan’s wedding I was able to capture their authentic love for each other, from the first look to the grand exit they were both having so much fun and always smiling! It was clear that they weren’t stressed about the day and just enjoyed it and this helped to create such an emotional, positive atmosphere! The couple was easygoing, lively and just so excited to be husband and wife. 

Oh and they wrote the sweetest review! “Do yourself a favor and hire Hannah to shoot your wedding day. Hannah did our engagement and wedding photos. She not only does AMAZING photos, but she makes you feel so comfortable. She is so sweet and kind. Hannah is so positive and goes with the flow. We wanted someone to direct on whatever would make the best photos and she did just that! I had full faith and trust in her and she did not let us down. Hannah, we love you and thank you for being there for our day!”

All in all I absolutely loved shooting this wedding. They had such a beautiful ceremony in the white chapel and then went on to have an epic, fun reception and dance party in the ballroom! The decor was amazing but there were also so many sweet, intimate and special moments that I’m so grateful I was able to capture. Samantha and Jordan were also so fun to work with, they were very comfortable with me and trusted my vision the whole time. We were able to work together to ease the stress and create some beautiful shots of their amazing wedding.  🤍
